Happenings

I returned to Japan from my summer furlough at the tail end of August. After over a month away, it was great to get back and reconnect with friends here. I missed my "Japan fam" and they welcomed me back with an octopus for supper - one of my favorites!

Classes started the Monday after I got back. It was so good to see all my students! There are still many times I look at my life and just about pinch myself. How did I end up in Japan? Only by God's grace am I here - may it be to His glory!

Enjoy a few glimpses into my random happenings - take-out Thai food with a dear friend, games with Z, shishamo supper, and a bike parking garage at the mall.

As I look back after a year in Japan, I don't always know what I'm doing here or how I came to be living in Japan, but I am reminded -

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9
