Living for Him - May this be my life's passion. Yet, how hard that is when I am so often selfish and proud. The truth is, all we have is from God. All we have belongs to God. All we have is meant to glorify God. Whatever you've been given, be it talents, relationships, experiences, give it back to God, and give thanks.

Faith left on Wednesday, after being here almost two months, so in her last two days, we tried to fit in a couple fun things. Unfortunately, rain from a typhoon that hit south of us kept us from doing anything big. We went for an evening train ride to Shibuya Scramble to enjoy the views in the dark while drinking some Japanese-style Starbucks. On Tuesday we went shopping in Chofu before a dinner with some good friends from church.

Thursday I set out for the long-anticipated trip to my cousin's house two hours away, where my aunt and uncle have been staying. Oh, how wonderful to see them!! I also met other missionaries who are living in Japan and made some fun connections. In my almost-three-days there, we went to Japan's longest suspension bridge, up a volcanic mountain, on a hike in the heat to a cool lookout tower, and a few other things that aren't pictured, but did involve food. While walking across the bridge, we saw a lot of cool views, including Mount Fuji peeking out from behind the clouds. The volcanic mountain was a touristy spot known for their eggs boiled in a natural hot sulfur spring, which turns them black. You can also see the sulfur gas coming out of the mountain in several places.

Blessed beyond measure, I am. Undeservedly blessed. Thankful for the laughs, the good views, and the hugs. :)

All my life You have been faithful. All my life You have been so, so good! With every breath that I am able, I will sing of the goodness of God! ~Goodness of God, by Bethel Music
