For being arguably the worst month of the year, June sure flew by! I say worst month of the year because, while living in Japan, there really isn't much that makes June exciting, and it's rainy season. When riding a bicycle is my main mode of transportation, let's just say, I don't love June.

Even though there is generally a lot more rain in June than in other months, we had some beautiful days too! I enjoyed a nice day of hiking with my friend Amy and her dogs. The hike was short, but steep, and I realized how out of shape I am. One portion was also through a beautiful bamboo forest! I'm in awe of the variety of God's creation!

Between the rain, we got some gorgeous scenes this month, for which I am so very thankful! Sunsets are one of my favorite things, and there were some good ones this month that I got to see! During most months, the sun sets while I'm teaching classes. There is just a small window of time during the summer that it sets after I'm done working. Another day, we saw a faint, but full rainbow! Praise God, who creates these beautiful masterpieces, and whose promises are true!

English classes have been going well. I have recently started several new adult classes, and continue to go out to Shioda twice a month. I always enjoy a little 美味しい空気 (delicious air) as they say. As we wind down before summer break, we look forward to this year's VBS in July! Planning is well underway, and we are so excited to share more about Jesus with these students!

Through the ups and downs of life, let us look to God who sustains us!

It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: Great is Thy faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23
