Hope

The past month has been a very busy month, which means there is so much I could write about! Honestly though, I don't know how to gather my thoughts in a coherent way, so instead, I'm just going to share some of my favorite things from the past month. :)

My parents came! What a joy to share this time with them, including some of the events leading up to Easter. They were here about two (very quick) weeks, and left the Thursday before Easter. It wasn't their first time in Japan, but we still enjoyed doing some new things together!

Easter - What a time of love, joy, and hope because of Jesus!! It is a beautiful thing to see the gospel shared with so many. I love the awe that fills the little children's eyes as they hear about Jesus defeating death! I pray it's the story that never grows old for me or for you! We enjoyed a wonderful Easter program a couple weeks early. Again, I always love to see so many shoes in the church entrance! On Easter day, we celebrated with a big brunch at church, filled with delicious food and wonderful fellowship!

I had a couple weeks off teaching for Spring break. In Japan, this is actually when they start their new school year, so now we are off to a great start with our first week of school back underway! While on break, I enjoyed spending time with friends here, and viewing the beautiful cherry blossoms (in between all the rainy days)! I have definitely enjoyed my first sakura season!

The new life popping up in springtime reminds us that Jesus is alive! Jesus gives us hope. God is at work! I'm looking forward to this new school year. My classes have changed some, but the Gospel sure hasn't! Pray that God may be glorified and that more may come to know the Truth!
